Sunshine: As a leader, are you self-aware?
Crystal: Welcome to The Love of Business. I’m Crystal.
Sunshine: And I’m Sunshine. Let’s get to it.
Well, sounds like we’re going deep today.
Crystal: That’s right.
Sunshine: So, being a leader of your team, I mean, you know, what’s that saying? The fish stinks from the head down?
Crystal: That would be a poor leader, yes.
Sunshine: And when you’re a good leader, you set an example. So, you know, what do you mean by like a leader that self-aware? Like, what are they supposed to be self-aware about?
Crystal: Well, self-aware of their actions, how they make their team feel, how they lead their team. Remember, as a leader, your team is always going to be a reflection of you, whether that’s good or bad.
Sunshine: Okay, so like, are you giving us examples of what we can do to be a little bit more self-aware?
Crystal: Yes, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about. Three ways to be more self-aware as a leader. Number one, know your strengths and your weaknesses, very important.
Number two, get anonymous feedback from your team so that they could tell you the truth about your leadership. It may be hard, but it’s invaluable information to help you out.
Number three, always go with your gut. Your gut is always right 100% of the time. And it has more nerve endings than your brain.
Sunshine: What’s your number one takeaway from today’s video? Leave us a comment and thanks for watching.
